Grammy winner set to attend Emmys, drop album in September!
Grammy winner Everlast recently set his sights on adding Emmy winner to his
resume, having already proven he can do just about anything when it comes to
music by writing and performing hip-hop to rock, country and rap. Due to his
outstanding work penning the theme song for TNT's critically acclaimed drama
series Saving Grace, Everlast recently received his first Emmy nomination
for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music. 'It's a great honor to be recognized, it's an amazing experience to work with Nancy and the rest of
the Saving Grace team,' said Everlast.
Saving Grace creator Nancy Miller didn't have a moment's hesitation when
deciding on Everlast to provide the theme song for the provocative drama,
starring Academy Award winner Holly Hunter. Of his Emmy nomination, Miller
says, 'Everlast captured the soul of our series with his title song, and
continues to do so each week as our composer. His voice and music are as
unique as our show and we are thrilled for his well-deserved nomination.' In addition to his television work, Everlast is busy prepping for a national
tour, set to kick off in August, and the release of his first album since
2004, Love, War and the Ghost of Whitey Ford, to be released on September
23rd.
The second single off the record, a cover of Johnny Cash's 'Folsom Prison
Blues,' is rapidly rising on the charts and features a music video with vintage footage from Johnny Cash Variety Show.
Here it is! Classic Johnny Cash with
