MOVIE REVIEW

"In The Mix' starring Usher (PG-13)

This movie scores an F for bad acting and storyline. The movie is about Usher who is a DJ who becomes a bodyguard for the mob boss' daughter just because Usher took a bullet for the boss in a drive by shooting. While protecting her they fall in love and get married at the end. Kevin Hart was the only person in the movie that made someone laugh. It seemed like this was the first time the director directed a movie and the first time a person wrote a movie story. It was obvious that Usher and the girl was going to fall for each other and it was obvious what was going on with the mob. Very Very bad movie.

NEWS

Law & Disorder

…The Daily News reports R. Kelly is seeking $16 million from Jay-Z and Tyran (Ty Ty) Smith, who allegedly pepper-sprayed Kelly after he walked off the stage in Madison Square Garden. Kelly said he left the stage because he saw Jay-Z fans in the audience waving guns and was pepper-sprayed as he was heading back to the stage. The new suit is on top of the $75 million filed last year.

Oh Shat

…Oh Really: The Daily News spoke with Ice-T and Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, who both traded barbs with each other. "That biatch is not supposed to be famous," Ice-T fumed. "Being somebody in the business, you have a lot of admiration for people because you know how hard they work. But certain people, you're just like, what the fu** has that ho done?" Omarosa responded: "Tracy sold out his rap career to go play a cop on a show because his last album tanked. You're supposed to be hard-core, rapping about killing and pimpin' hos, and you go and play a cop? He sold out!"

Sister 2 Sister spoke with Ray J and asked him if he thought the entertainment industry has dealt him a fair hand when it comes to judging his musical talent and acting prowess. "Yeah, I do. I think everything that's been written about my career thus far has done me justice," he responded. "Right now, I'm focusing on developing talent and having fun with what I do. I really didn't like the scene back in the day. I was probably too young to appreciate it and I rebelled against Bran and the whole positive image thing. I wanted to flip it, go way left and be raw with my image! I'm a bad boy in a sense. I like to have fun and wild out in the clubs and party with my friends. When all the success happened for Bran, I started hanging out in the streets with the wrong crowd. We grew up in Carson, [CA], which is about three minutes away from Compton. The more Brandy succeeded, the more I started hanging with the wrong crowd and doing bad things. I got in mad trouble and ended up having to move out of the neighborhood. I speak about it on my album."

Joy Bryant spoke with friends about filming a nude scene in 'Get Rich or Die Tryin', though 50 didn't realize he wasn't supposed to be literally naked. The Daily News reports that Bryant told friends, "He came out butt-naked. I told him to go to the wardrobe department and go put a sock on." 50 then reappeared wearing the biggest sock anyone had ever seen.

OK! spoke with Alicia Keys and asked her about her last embarrassing moment. "I was in DC promoting my second album with a roomful of journalists," Keys explained. "There was this gorgeous piano, a gorgeous ice sculpture in the background, and I was playing, everything was perfect. These people in the back kept talking. They were being rude, so I kept saying, 'Hey I'm doing a show here. What's going on back there?' I'm joking, and the audience laughed, but they kept talking! So I got up - and I tripped and fell over in front of all these journalists. I had my mic in my hand, and it hit the floor. it sounded like I knocked out all my teeth! It was a bad spill. The whole room gasped. Finally, I got up, and of course, I had to say: 'I keep on fallin'...' The crowd laughed. Some of them thought it was part of the show!"
