SEAN COMBS AKA DIDDY AND EMILIO ESTEFAN JOIN FORCES TO CREATE NEW LABEL, BAD BOY LATINO
Miami, Fl, August 25, 2005 Sean "Diddy" Combs, founder and CEO of Bad Boy Entertainment, and Grammy Award winning producer Emilio Estefan will join forces to create a new multi-media venture, Bad Boy Latino. Diddy and his long-time friend Emilio Estefan team to recruit, produce and market an artist roster for Bad Boy Latino that will undoubtedly result in one of the most exciting and promising collaborations the music industry has seen in a long time. The partnership will also develop content for television and other media outlets.
Combining Diddy's global appeal as an artist, producer and business/marketing mind along with Estefan's vision and experience in producing and marketing the most successful crossover artists in Latin music history will position Bad Boy Latino as a leader in the fast growing and hugely untapped Latin / hip-hop market.
Diddy states, "The Latino market in the US is such a beautiful, diverse, and powerful market and I am blessed to have a partner like Emilio. His vision and his passion are an inspiration to me. He is an amazing example of how creativity, combined with hard work and a belief in one's self, can spark an entire cultural movement. Sean "Diddy" Combs was recently declared "One of the Most Influential Businessmen in the World" by Time Magazine and CNN. As Chairman of Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group (BBWEG), he oversees one of the world's preeminent urban entertainment companies, encompassing a broad range of businesses including recording, music publishing, artist management, television and film production, recording facility, apparel and restaurants. With a collection of businesses whose annual sales are quickly approaching $500 million annually and an employee base of over 300, Mr. Combs is largely responsible for the popular appeal of urban entertainment.
