NELLY PREPARES TO RELEASE THE LONGEST YARD SOUNDTRACK

Multi-Talented Rapper Kicks Off "Sweat/Suit: Up Close & Personal Tour"
With Fat Joe, T.I And The St. Lunatics On March 19th
Multi-talented rapper, actor, entrepreneur Nelly is slated to release The Longest Yard soundtrack on his Derrty Ent. imprint, a venture with Universal Records. In addition to co-starring in The Longest Yard movie (Paramount Pictures), Nelly is the executive producer on the soundtrack which will feature songs by Eminem, D-12, Lil Wayne, Akon, Murphy Lee and introduces new up and coming Derrty Ent. artists Jung Tru and King Jacob. The lead single from The Longest Yard soundtrack is Nelly's "Errtime" produced by Jazze Pha. The soundtrack will hit stores on May 17th and the movie will be in theaters on Memorial Day weekend.
Nelly co-stars in the re-make of the 1974 comedy The Longest Yard with an all-star cast that includes Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Burt Reynolds. In his first major movie role, he plays a convict/football player named Earl Maggit. The comedy/drama is a story of a jailed pro quarterback (Sandler) and former college champion /coach (Reynolds) who are asked to put together a football team comprised of inmates.
On heels of the movie release, Nelly is also gearing up for a national "Sweat/Suit: Up Close & Personal" tour with Fat Joe, T.I. and his fellow St. Lunatics members Murphy Lee, Ali and Kyjuan. The
tour kicks off in Cleveland, Ohio on March
19th.
Last year, the St. Louis native made musical history when he became the first solo artist to have two albums debut in the two top spots of Billboard's "Top 200 Albums" chart (Suit #1, Sweat #2), putting him in the elite company of The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Guns N' Roses and other global superstars. Earlier this year, he continued to make history when he became the first hip-hop artist ever to receive two CMT (Country Music Television) award nominations for his #1 hit "Over & Over" with Tim McGraw. "Over & Over" recently rose to #1 on the UK singles chart.
