Introducing Phayme (Fame)
The answer in Hip-Hop has
finally arrived and sent to earth in a woman's flesh!!
Her
name is PHAYME (pronounced fame). For over 6 years she's been in
the rap game writing and performing lyrics either solo or with a group. PHAYME's
style is rugged, yet feminine. PHAYME sees the rap game not as a
hobby or a job, but as her mission. There's a voice that's missing in
Hip-Hop today and she intends to be that voice. PHAYME's lyrics
are written from personal experience. Tracks such as "It Ain't
Easy," breaks down the struggles of being female rapper in the
Hip-Hop world. "Do Yo' Thang," states the message -keep doing
what you do and don't allow haters to hold you back. Most people know PHAYME
from winning rap and dance contests in high school and performing at the
open mic nights at the C Note, Ebony Showcase, and Napoleon's Lounge in
Detroit. By the way, PHAYME'S earlier years were spent in North
Jersey where she was influenced by the New York rappers played on the
weekend mix shows. After being on the Detroit Hip-Hop scene and
releasing a five song maxi single, PHAYME relocated from the
Motor City back to the East coast to reclaim her roots and make the
music she loves. PHAYME's goal is to become a respected female
rapper on the music scene, and be recognized for her talents. "See
you at the Top"
